A cambox (or cam box) breather pipe is a ventilation hose, often found on overhead cam engines (like the Chevrolet Utility 1.4/1.8), that releases high-temperature gases, oil vapors, and pressure buildup from the cylinder head/camshaft area. It prevents oil leaks, sludge, and gasket damage by venting these gases back into the intake system to be burned, reducing pollution and engine corrosion.
